Andre Levrone praised his wife, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, as the best hurdler in the world, highlighting her record-breaking achievements and unwavering dedication.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone’s husband Andre Levrone has heaped praise on the 400m hurdles world record holder, affirming that she is the best hurdler in the world.

His claims are based on her performances over the distance, where she has been able to achieve historic milestones including breaking her world record six times.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone first broke the world record at the 2021 US Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, clocking 51.90 seconds.

Last season only, she broke the world record twice and was coming from a very devastating phase that saw her miss out on the better part of the 2023 season due to an injury.

She broke the record first at the US Olympic trials before clocking a stunning 50.37 seconds at the Paris Olympic Games.

 

He revealed that watching Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone at the Paris Olympic Games got him nervous the whole time since he never knew what to expect in the tight race.

Andre Levrone noted that people would always tell him to calm down since she would win the race but he revealed that Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone usually gets nervous when it comes to hurdles. He added that when she runs the flat 400m, he never gets nervous.

He noted that they had been through everything in the build-up to the Olympics, from training together to praying together and he was waiting for the LORD to make things happen for them.
