The Kansas City Chiefs have had an impressive season, and three of their players have been recognized for their outstanding performances. Defensive tackle Chris Jones, left guard Joe Thuney, and center Creed Humphrey have all been named to the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) All-Pro Team.
This is the third year that the NFLPA has released an All-Pro Team, and it’s unique in that it’s voted on exclusively by the players themselves. Players can’t vote for themselves or their teammates, and they only vote on the position that they play or line up against. This creates a list that allows for true peer-to-peer recognition.
Chris Jones has been a dominant force on the Chiefs’ defensive line, logging 74 pressures, 20 quarterback hits, and five sacks in 15 games this season. Despite missing two games, Jones’ 74 pressures still ranked sixth among all players in 2024. This is the third year in a row that Jones has been named to the NFLPA All-Pro Team.
Joe Thuney and Creed Humphrey are both first-time selections to the NFLPA All-Pro Team. Thuney has been excellent at left guard, ranking second among all guards in terms of pass-blocking according to Pro Football Focus. He also filled in at left tackle late in the season, starting three games and not allowing a sack.
Creed Humphrey has been a stalwart at center, playing a league-leading 1,112 offensive snaps this season. According to Pro Football Focus, Humphrey has been the league’s best overall and pass-blocking center this year.
All three players have been key contributors to the Chiefs’ success this season, helping the team compile the best regular-season record in franchise history. As the playoffs approach, Jones, Thuney, and Humphrey will look to maintain their elite level of play and help the Chiefs make a deep postseason run.
