The University of Texas secured the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class for the 2025 cycle, a first for the program. This impressive haul sets the stage for the Longhorns to make a serious push for a national championship in the years to come.
Big Ten and SEC Programs Shine
The expanded Big Ten and SEC conferences boasted an impressive array of recruiting classes, with programs like Georgia, Alabama, and Ohio State ranking among the top classes for the 2025 cycle. In fact, the entire top 10 is comprised of Big Ten or SEC programs, highlighting the growing gap between these conferences and the rest of the college football landscape.
Impactful Recruits and Transfers
The Big Ten, in particular, loaded up on elite talents, with 10 five-star prospects joining the conference in the 2025 class. Impact transfers from the recent winter window also bolstered the conference’s rosters. With these additions, the Big Ten is poised to remain a dominant force in college football.
Blue-Chip Recruits Abound
The 2025 recruiting class saw over 60 teams sign at least one blue-chip prospect, with 21 teams securing 10 or more blue-chip signees. The Big Ten and SEC accounted for all but three of these teams, further solidifying their positions as the premier conferences in college football.
