Bucks vs Pistons Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

With just two games left on the schedule, the Milwaukee Bucks visit Little Caesars Arena to face the Detroit Pistons.

My Bucks vs Pistons predictions expect Detroit to deliver its first win over Milwaukee since 2022 in a game with plenty of offense.

Bucks vs Pistons prediction

My best bet: Over 228.5 (-110)

My analysis
Both teams have been pretty even on their O/U record this season. The Milwaukee Bucks are 40-40 while the Detroit Pistons are 39-39-2.

The head-to-head matchups have been heavily one-sided, but the games have been high-scoring for the most part. Milwaukee and Detroit have hit the Over in seven of their last 10 head-to-head contests, including each of the last two.

Over the last 10 games, both offenses have played well. The Bucks rank eighth in offensive rating at 120.3, and the Pistons rank 15th at 118.

They’ve put up points, but neither side has been particularly effective on defense in that span. Over the last 10, the Pistons have allowed 117.1 points (17th), and the Bucks have allowed 117.9 (20th).

Milwaukee is missing Damian Lillard and his potent offense, but the team has gotten a pleasant boost Kevin Porter Jras a scorer and playmaker. The return of Bobby adds another strong scoring option off the bench  Gary Taurean Prince offer excellent spacing.

Spacing is something Detroit has had no trouble with, thanks to  Tim Hardaway Jr. and.Malik Beasley in particular. Beasley has knocked down a career-high 305 triples through 80 games and is just one of five players in NBA history with at least 300 triples in a single season.

The Bucks can wrap up the No. 5 seed with a victory, and the Pistons need to win out to take that spot from Milwaukee. I’m betting both offenses come out firing in a meaningful game with playoff implications.

Big Bobby P has shown no signs of rust since returning from suspension. Over his last two games, he’s scored 14 and 18 points off the bench.

He’s scored at least 15 points in 21 of 48 games this season, and Milwaukee needs his microwave scoring. If Giannis Antetokounmpo sits out, I’ll hammer the Over and never look back. Even if Giannis plays, this is a very manageable point total.

I’m tempted to bet Detroit to cover the spread, but there’s no way of knowing who will be available for Milwaukee tonight. The Bucks are playing the second leg of a back-to-back set — so Giannis could get the night off — but a win tonight would lock up the No. 5 seed, and the Greek Freak could take a breather on Sunday.

If he doesn’t play, I’ll take the Pistons and the points, but I’ll bet on Detroit to win this one outright for now. The young and hungry Pistons are fully healthy, and I expect them to be highly motivated.
