Mulkey and the LSU Tigers received a commitment from East Carolina transfer Amiya Joyner.
Joyner has been a star in the college basketball world for the past three seasons. This past season with the Pirates, Joyner averaged 15.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
During her three-year career with the East Carolina Pirates, Joyner averaged 12.8 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.9 assistsThe LSU women’s basketball team continues to make noise in the transfer portal, following an NCAA Tournament loss.
LSU suffered an Elite Eight loss to UCLA, 72-65, after defeating NC State, Florida State and San Diego State in the earlier rounds.
The Tigers were led by recent WNBA draftee Aneesah Morrow and one of the biggest stars on and off the court in college basketball, Flau’jae Johnson.
With the departure of Morrow, head coach Kim Mulkey was tasked with rebuilding the team. On Tuesday, Mulkey took a major step forward in reloading the team’s roster. .
