They went 8-5 overall, 4-4 in SEC games, and defeated the Tulane Green Wave 33-8. That marked their first winning season under Napier since he took over for Dan Mullen in 2022 and their first bowl win since the Orange Bowl in 2019. Now, though, it’s time for them to move on and prepare for the future. Like every other college football team, this means trying to bring in high-level recruits to strengthen the roster. They’ve gotten to work on making their impressions on multiple players, and Steve Wiltfong of On3 now predicts that the Gators will land a commitment from class of 2026 wide receiver Naeem Burroughs.
